SVH’s plants already were in full compliance with the requirements of DASt 022 when this guideline was published. We pride ourselves on our qualified customer care, delivery reliability and dependability. We are also the partner to choose for special products, including hot-dip galvanized reinforcing steel with DIBt approval or zinc strip alloys for drinking water equipment to DIN 10240.
Quality management certified to ISO 9001:2008
ISO 9001:2008 defines the quality management requirements for organizations which must demonstrate that their products meet the specifications of customers and public authorities or who want to enhance customer satisfaction. Our quality management system is certified by Germanischer Lloyd and complies with the 8 basic principles of “customer orientation”, “management responsibility”, “involvement of staff “, “process-based approach", “system-based management approach”, “continuous improvement”, “fact-based decision making” and “mutually beneficial supplier relationships".
DASt guideline 022
With the publication of DASt guideline 022 “Guideline for hot-dip zinc coating of prefabricated load-bearing steel components”, an additional regulation for hot-dip galvanizing now exists and its provisions have been mandatory since December 2009. SVH was the first surface finishing provider in Germany to achieve group-wide approval from the Institut für Oberflächentechnik GmbH (Institute for Surface Technology), demonstrating that we apply zinc-coating in line with this guideline. DIBt approval for galvanizing concrete and reinforcing steel
On 15 December 2009, the company received approval from the German Institute for Building Technology (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) no. Z-1.4-165 for hot-dip galvanized concrete steel. The application covers concrete steel to DIN 488-11 (BSt 500 S reinforced bar steel), as well as reinforced steel according to the general approval of the building inspectorate in straightened condition (BSt 500 WR, reinforced steel in rings, and BST 500 M, reinforced steel mats). Ökoprofit South Hesse
Based on an initiative by the local Agenda 21, ÖKOPROFIT® is a joint initiative by local authorities and industry aimed at supporting the environment, while cutting costs for industry. The initiative began in 2001 in the Bergstraße district in the Federal land of Hesse. Since then, four projects have successfully been completed with a total of 43 participating companies. Thanks to this success, the ÖKOPROFIT® initiative has been extended to cover all districts in South Hesse, with the following objectives:
- enhancing the business location
- making an active contribution towards climate protection
- establishing a network for committed companies.
